Making Quick Work Of The Drain On 14

Monday morning the contractors were on site to begin the work on a set of catch basins between 13 and 14 fairway.  The majority of the day was spent laying out drainage lines and marking exiting irrigation and electrical lines.  Once work began, the project moved along very quickly.

This project is designed to grab water that currently moves from 13 fairway, across the rough and down the hill to 14 approach.  This is a large area that sheds water to the small space in front of 14 green.

The drainage will make a big improvement in this area and we are interested to see the results after a big rain.  You can see pictures of this area during a rain here.  Getting this water underground will be beneficial to getting this area to dry quicker after rains.  Also, the pipe is sized to allow us to add drainage to the 13th fairway if needed in the future.
